Week 7: CAD Developments and Report Progress

In week 7 the Project Megaclimb team continued to develop the CAD models of our design. An updated model with the tread mechanism and mounting plate added to the wheelchair can be seen below. On the plate, there is a slide rack for mounting purposes and a holder for the battery. The tread mechanism can be seen mounted to the plate by the actuators.

More work was also done to the tread mechanism and surrounding mounting plates. The Falcon 500 motors were added in their places between each of the tread plates. Grommet holes were added next to the motors in order to route the wires. The axles and tread hubs were further developed. A render of the updated treads can be seen below.

The team also continued work on their final report draft
